Position Summary

 

Nomada Hotel Group is looking to hire a Bookkeeper to keep track of the company’s financial records and accounts across a portfolio of assets in the hospitality industry. They will be responsible for updating and maintaining accurate records of the organization's financial transactions. 

 

Additionally, the Bookkeeper will work closely with internal and external teams to proactively manage accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R) and bank reconciliations. The Bookkeeper will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact on the organizations’ financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Record financial transactions and categorize records in the general ledger

  • Customer and Vendor Invoice processing, purchase orders, and payment transactions 

  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements

  • Analyze transactions with stakeholders and coordinate reimbursable expenses

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

  • Assist with month-end/quarter-end close

  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring

  • Assist with special projects and reporting

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Associates degree or higher

  • 3+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience

  • You have a firm grasp on what it takes to maintain accounting records

  • Able to produce clear documentation and financial reports

  • Solid foundation of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Self-starter and autonomous, being able to work under limited guidance
