Job Overview
SLO Ranch Marketplace is seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing and Events Manager to execute the coordination of Merchant-related projects across our dynamic commercial campus, which includes restaurants, retail spaces, a brewery, a working farm and a community market. The Manager will play a critical role in ensuring marketing of the center, planning and implementing events, tenant relations, effective communication and support for ongoing tenant success and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations

Act as a liaison between the property management team and tenants.

Support communication of marketplace rules, operational expectations, and community events.

Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for tenant operational needs, including maintenance coordination, signage requests, trash/recycling procedures, and access/security concerns.

Help assess long-term tenant needs and capital planning, including infrastructure upgrades or enhancement projects.

Maintain and update a tenant issue log and resolution tracker; summarize trends for monthly reports to senior leadership.

Cultivate positive, long-term relationships with all tenants by conducting regular check-ins, surveys, and walkthroughs to proactively identify issues and opportunities.
Events

Scheduling weekly and monthly events – keeping a six month look ahead calendar.

Coordination with merchants for participating in events.

Finding and scheduling outside vendors and musicians to participate in events and weekly live music.

Ordering and setting up decorations and supplies for events as needed.
Marketing
-
Overview of social media platforms – coordinating with social media consultant for posts, keeping a social media calendar.

Coordinating with merchants for social media collaboration and sharing.

Drafting and sending out monthly newsletter.

Upkeep of website including posting upcoming news and events.

Scheduling and coordinating advertising as needed such as radio, print and social media boosts.

Promoting of any upcoming activities.

Responding to inquiries from the public.
Site Coordination
-
Overseeing site maintenance team to coordinate repair schedules, service providers, and preventative maintenance that minimizes disruption to tenant operations.

Daily inspections of site for safety and necessary fixture repairs/replacement.

Monitor tenant compliance with property guidelines, lease requirements, and marketplace operating standards.

Work with accounting department to process invoices.
Marketplace & Farm Integration

Help coordinate operational needs of the farm and market spaces, ensuring synergy between agricultural operations and commercial tenants.

Collaborate with vendors, market stall operators, and farm partners to support programming, compliance, and special projects.

Move in and move out inspections for community gardens.

Ensure the Corral and farm fields are safe and engaging for guests.
Cross-Functional Support

Plan and implement of marketplace activations, seasonal events, and community-facing programs.

Collaborate with the events and marketing team to incorporate tenants into site activations, farmers market tie-ins, community events, and seasonal programming.

Collaborate with events and marketing team on marketing and advertising as well as social media direction.

Help schedule and communicate event logistics including parking impacts, setup coordination, and promotional guidelines.

Facilitate cross-promotion opportunities among tenants, market vendors, and the farm to build a cohesive commercial community
